Carpenter Center

There are 11 group study rooms available in the Carpenter Center (MBA Study Rooms A – H, J, Carpenter Conference Room, and Carpenter Work Room). 

How to Make a Reservation for a Group Study Room in Carpenter: 

  • To reserve a group study room in Carpenter go to https://secure.mccombs.utexas.edu/labspace/carpentercenter/ and sign in with your UT EID
  • Click on Study Rooms in the left navigation menu
  • After first clicking on Study Rooms, you will see all of the rooms on any given day. You can also click on each of the individual rooms in the left navigation menu to see that particular room by day, week, or month.
  • To make a reservation click a timeslot on the calendar of the room you would like to reserve. A pop-up box will prompt you to enter the Start Time, End Time, Event Title, and Description (optional). After entering your information, click Save.

Rules and Guidelines for Group Study Room Reservations in Carpenter:

  • The rooms are intended for use by teams in group study sessions and/or meetings.
  • There is a three-hour maximum time limit per team meeting.
  • First year students can reserve a total of 9 hours per week in their first semester (fall); All other semesters, students are limited to a total of 6 hours per week.
  • Please do not use anything other than Dry-Erase markers on the glass boards.
  • To prevent markings on the walls, please do not place Dry-Erasers between the glass boards and the walls.
  • Please be considerate of your classmates and remember to throw away all trash and clean up your room before you leave.

Reliant Productivity Center (RPC)

The Reliant Productivity Center (RPC) is located on the 4th floor of the McCombs School of Business, and access is restricted to McCombs students. In order to gain admittance, you must use your UT ID proximity card. There are 14 group study rooms available in the Reliant Productivity Center. 

How to Make a Reservation for a Group Study Room in the Reliant Productivity Center (RPC): 

  • To reserve a group study room in Reliant go to https://acsprod.mccombs.utexas.edu/labspace/, sign in with your UT EID and click on Make an RPC Room Reservation.
  • Team Rooms Alpha–Iota are smaller configuration facilities with a table, chairs, and connections for a wall-mounted flat panel monitor for projection purposes.
  • Team Rooms Kappa–Xi are larger configuration facilities with a table and chairs.

Rules and Guidelines for Group Study Room Reservations in the Reliant Productivity Center (RPC):

  • You must be a currently-enrolled McCombs business student to reserve a room.
  • Only 1 reservation per student per day in the RPC.
  • Maximum length for a reservation is 3 hours.
  • Rooms cannot be reserved more than 31 days in advance.
  • You may have a maximum of 3 active reservations at any time.
  • Facilities should be found and left in a clean and orderly state.
  • Any equipment technology issues should be reported to Media Services using their Trouble Report Form. Any other issues may be reported to lab supervisors by email (Lab.Help@mccombs.utexas.edu) or phone (512-232-6699).

Quiet Study Areas

Reliant Productivity Center and the AIM Reading Room

The Reliant Productivity Center (RPC) and AIM Reading Room are located on the 4th floor of the McCombs School of Business.  Both rooms provide a quiet environment with individual study booths (the booths in Reliant have power outlets if you will be using your laptop).  You must have your student ID to access these rooms.
